We published a set of articles listing elementary school textbooks followed in US public schools. This is a follow-up that lists Middle School Public School Textbooks Teacher's Editions and Resources. Here is our list:
Sixth Grade:
Seventh Grade:
Eighth Grade:
We will update this list as new titles become available.
A note on buying used teachers’ edition textbooks online:
Ebay has banned selling these online but is reluctant to disclose reasons. The logical explanation has to be that Ebay is collaborating with book publishers who view it as loss of revenue although there are other theories. The policy is especially hard on home school parents as a majority of them rely on the used book market to acquire these books at a reasonable cost – the list pricing on a good number of these books tend to be way higher than their student equivalents. Needless to say, there are plenty of other online retailers catering to this market; hence most parents and teachers should be able to acquire used teachers’ edition textbooks with ease.
Frugal Tip: Previous versions of some textbooks are much more affordable compared to the latest version and inn many cases, the content is not substantively different. To make an informed purchase decision, your best bet is to check with the instructor.
