This quarter, Boone Pickens, the O&G specialist started fairly large positions in Whiting Petroleum (WLL), Suncor Energy (SU), SM Energy (SM), and Bonanza Creek Energy (BCEI) while reducing Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) position by over 70%. Interesting, Buffett also started a new position in SU this quarter.
