401k/IRA/Retirement Account 2008 Performance Summary

The total return this year was –34.29%. The performance compare well with the returns of domestic indices, which are down around 40%, emerging market indices, which are down upwards of 60%, and other developed markets, which are down about 50%. We reduced risk by opting for a 40-40-20 allocations among Domestic, International, and Bonds/Alternatives in the beginning of the year and that accounts for the better performance.
